Outside Plant Engineering – Huawei Technologies Uganda

Seagate Electric Co Ltd proudly partnered with Huawei Technologies Uganda to implement an advanced fiber optic infrastructure across Uganda. Our role in this critical project, carried out from 2016 to 2017, involved trench excavation, duct installation, and aerial fiber cable laying, all executed with meticulous precision.

This project aimed to maximize efficiency and minimize signal loss in the fiber optic network, serving as a key enabler for better internet access and enhanced communication services across Uganda. Our commitment to excellence ensured that the infrastructure laid met the highest standards of quality and performance.

Throughout the project, our team faced challenges such as navigating rough terrain and securing necessary permits. However, through effective stakeholder engagement and the deployment of experienced engineers, we overcame these obstacles and delivered an infrastructure that meets international standards. Our proactive approach and meticulous planning ensured the project’s successful completion, significantly contributing to Uganda’s digital transformation.

As the sub-contractor, Seagate Electric Co Ltd was responsible for every aspect of the installation process, from initial assessments and detailed planning to the physical implementation and rigorous testing of the fiber optic network. Our use of advanced equipment and industry best practices guaranteed the highest quality of work and reliability of the network.
