Outside Plant Engineering – MTN Uganda

Seagate Electric Co Ltd proudly served as a service provider for MTN Uganda in a comprehensive outside plant (OSP) engineering project. This initiative, carried out from 2017 to 2018, involved the meticulous planning and implementation of fiber infrastructure to expand MTN’s network reach. Our responsibilities included excavation and backfilling of trenches, construction of manholes, and installation of jointing pits and underground pipes.

Our team ensured the efficient deployment of fiber optic cables to meet MTN’s increasing demand for broadband and mobile services. We worked in close collaboration with MTN’s technical team to ensure seamless integration with the existing infrastructure, facilitating a smooth and efficient network expansion.

One of the significant challenges we faced was minimizing disruption to existing road and utility networks. Through careful planning and coordination with local authorities, we managed to complete the project without causing significant public inconvenience. This project played a crucial role in enhancing MTN’s service delivery and overall network performance.

As the service provider, Seagate Electric Co Ltd handled all aspects of the project, from initial planning and design to the installation, testing, and commissioning of the fiber networks. Our commitment to excellence and our use of advanced equipment ensured the successful completion of the project, meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability.
